Work with clients across the UK

Although we are based in London, our clients are based across the UK and Europe.

The Team

Our team is based in central London and has a wealth of experience in non-contentious and litigious matters, including personal injury, sports litigation and regulatory-related disputes.

Should we be fortunate to work with you, we will dedicate an experienced solicitor to your case full-time. That solicitor will be assisted by various experts, consultants and counsel (as appropriate).

Partner

Richard Boardman

Richard has considerable experience of contentious and non contentious sports law-related matters.

Richard has acted (and is acting) on behalf of hundreds of current and retired sportsmen and women with various personal injury claims and regulatory-related disputes, be it doping-related or other personal misconduct matters. He also represents various sports organisations, including teams, leagues and governing bodies, in respect of their own regulatory and disciplinary-related matters.

In terms of non-contentious, Richard acts on behalf of professional sportsmen and women across many sports, including football, rugby, cricket and boxing, in respect of their playing and commercial contracts and opportunities.

Richard has been educated at the universities of Cambridge and York. He got a Distinction in his Legal Practice Course (LPC), and was added to the Roll of Solicitors in 2009. Prior to Rylands Garth, Richard worked at various Magic Circle and US law firms. He lives in London.

Consultant

Alison Morley

Alison started her legal career acting for individuals in crime and civil litigation before a stint at Herbert Smith in the City where she worked as a personal injury specialist dealing with disaster litigation cases such as the Kings Cross fire and the Clapham rail crash. Much of her other workload related to industrial diseases such as mesothelioma and catastrophic injuries.

Alison moved to Capsticks Solicitors LLP where she worked until 2021. She dealt with high value clinical negligence claims including spinal and brain injury. She was ranked as a leading lawyer in Chambers and the legal 500 for many years where she was described as a ‘clients favourite’. She went on to lead the clinical negligence department supervising over 40 lawyers and latterly was the firm’s Managing Director for 11 years. Alison was recognised for her law firm management skills in the Lawyers Hot 100 publication.
